Christian's new CD "The Only Plan" has been released and is already receiving airplay on a number of jazz-radio stations.

Christian will be playing at Snug Harbor on April 19th with the quintet. Be sure to come by and check it out, it's gonna be swingin'. He will be playing music from "The Only Plan".

Christian would like to thank everybody that came out to hear the band on the tour of Denmark. They played 11 concerts in 11 days and had great audiences all around. Soon there will be video available on the site filmed on the tour. There are some new concert photos in the gallery section.

New CD

Christian Winther Quintet’s new CD “The Only Plan” is coming out on SteepleChase in January 2006. The line-up is:

Marcus Printup – trumpet
Richard Doron Johnson – piano
Neal Caine – bass
Ali Jackson – drums
Christian Winther –saxophone

The CD features new originals from Christian as well as one from Richard Johnson.

European Tour Dates

Christian and the quartet will be on tour in Europe from January 26th to February 5th 2006. Concerts are scheduled during the “Winter Jazz Festival” in Denmark. Check back soon for the complete tour schedule. The quartet will be performing music from the new CD.
